Update: Beta v1.0.0.1

An update v1.0.0.1 to the beta has just been released.

Here are a list of fixes:

  • Installer Errors — a few beta testers encountered an Email Warning at the end of the setup process because there was a concurrent accessing error when reading the email configuration file. This has been fixed.
  • Setup Logging — we had one user who had problems updating the connection string in the configuration file. However, because we didn’t have error logs during the setup phase, we were unable to diagnose this problem. We’ve now added a full logging stack during the setup phase so the next time you encounter any issues, simply post the content of the log files and we’ll be able to better resolve the issue.
  • Statistics — a few beta testers pointed out some confusion over the statistics that Jumptree Project was reporting. We’ll be taking their suggestions and revamping the statistics reporting so that it’s clearer.
  • GUI Fixes — CSS, images, text misspellings, and the like.

Jumptree Project Beta Released!

Personally I would like a few more weeks before we release this beta, but Liming keeps chanting the release early, release often mantra.

So please help us beta test Jumptree Project!

These are the system requirements:

  • Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework
  • Micorosoft SQL Server 2000
  • Internet Information Server
  • You must have DBO permission to your Database.

And here are the setup instructions:

  1. Create a SQL Server 2000 database
  2. Go to [software location]/setup/default.aspx
  3. Follow the wizard directions and you’re ready to go!

If you have any problems you can email us or get help on the forums.

And the support manual is coming really soon… I promise!
